GEORGETOWN, DE — The Sussex County Republican Party has endorsed Dr. Mike Katz for the United States Senate, encouraging Republicans across Sussex County to support the party's endorsed candidate in the September 15 Republican Primary and again in the November General Election.
The endorsement follows Dr. Katz's overwhelming support at the 2026 Delaware Republican State Convention, where he earned the backing of 82 percent of convention delegates. The Sussex County Republican Party joins Republican leaders and grassroots conservatives across Delaware in supporting the Delaware Republican Party's endorsed candidate for the United States Senate.
Sussex County Republican Committee Chairman Tom Molnar issued the following statement:
"Our Executive Committee has taken the time to get to know Dr. Mike Katz personally. We have looked at his record, talked with him about the issues facing Delaware, and carefully considered who is best prepared to represent our state in the United States Senate.

The Sussex County GOP endorsement joins a rapidly growing coalition of Republican leaders and grassroots organizations backing Dr. Katz's candidacy, including State Senator Dave Wilson (18th District), State Rep. and Former House Minority Leader Danny Short, America First Insight, Trump-endorsed former U.S. Attorney and former Delaware GOP Chair Julianne Murray, the Delaware Republican Party, the Independent Party of Delaware, the Northern New Castle County Republican Party, the national College Republicans of America, the Delaware College Republicans, former two-time Republican congressional nominee Lee Murphy, State Senator Dave Lawson, and other state and county Republican officials.
The Sussex County Republican Party encourages every registered Republican to make a plan to vote for Dr. Mike Katz during Delaware's Early Voting, beginning September 2, or on Primary Election Day, September 15.
