I wanted to introduce myself personally.

My name is Dr. Mike Katz, and I am a Republican candidate for the United States Senate.

My wife Trish and I came to Delaware nearly thirty years ago. I was recruited from Boston Children's Hospital to serve at A.I. duPont Hospital for Children following a national search for a pediatric critical-care anesthesiologist. Delaware has been our home ever since, and it is where we raised our three children.

For many years I cared for critically ill children and worked with complex medical teams where calm leadership and clear thinking can make the difference between life and death.

I have also spent decades working in healthcare policy and leadership. Since the early 1990s I have worked in state capitals and on Capitol Hill, serving in leadership roles with the Medical Society of Delaware and the American Medical Association representing physicians nationwide.

I later had the privilege of serving in the Delaware State Senate, where I worked with colleagues from both parties to advance practical reforms focused on government accountability, economic responsibility, and common-sense solutions for Delaware families.

Those experiences have taught me something important:

Solving complex problems requires honest diagnosis, strong leadership, and the ability to bring people together.

Today, in many ways, Delaware is the patient.

Costs are rising. Trust in government is declining. And after many years of the same leadership in Washington, too many Delaware families still feel left behind.

I am running for the United States Senate because Delaware deserves serious leadership and real solutions.

I believe I am the only candidate in this race who can build the coalition needed to defeat Chris Coons in November.

I would be grateful for your support as we build that coalition and work to win this race.

If you have any thoughts or questions, please feel free to reach out — I would genuinely welcome hearing from you.

With warm regards,

Mike
